AOL held a Version 8.0 Launch Party and Member Appreciation Event at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, NYC, in Oct, 2002. My family was fortunate to be invited. AOL paid for our airfare and lodging at the W in Times Square, and sent a car to pick us up at the airport and take us back! I was given a set of celebrity designer discs at a small reception at the W.

Corporate executives in attendance at the reception included Jon Miller (AOL president) and Richard Parsons (AOL TW CEO). Dana Carvey and Alanis Morrissette performed at the Event and Steve Case and Ted Turner appeared, too
